Some of the Examples and High Points of the Interface
Remember to order the correct Interface: 3-wire or 5-wire
•Progressive compatible, Pulse Injectors (progressive controller needed)
•Controls Dry Direct Port fueling and timing
•Controls Dry Nozzle(s) After the MAF
•Controls Dry Nozzle(s) Before the MAF
•Controls Existing Poorly Located Nozzle(s)
•Fine Tuning any Direct Port Wet kit Fuel (no more hassles changing all the jets out)
•Add Fuel Upon Kit activation to Eliminate Lean Spikes
•Complete Air to Fuel Control
•Timing Retard, or often known as Pulling Timing
•Timing Retard-Advanced Feature for Large Shots
•Top End Engine RPM A/F Correction (add or subtract fuel)
•12-Volt or Ground Trigger (easily integrates into pre-existing kits)
•Delay Feature-Adjustable (prevents initial rich condition or spike)
•Diagnostic Mode and Safety Features (will shut-down entire N2O system if problem detected)
•The Average Street/Strip Person Can Now Nitrous Tune Their Car
•Much more
We can now adjust our a/f ratio, actually fine-tune the air to fuel mixture with out worrying where the nozzle(s) need to go. We can mount the nozzle(s) after the MAF if we like, and that is the premise of the "Sudden Impact" dry plate kit; it mounts after the MAF. Also, if we have current less than good location of the nozzle(s) we can fine-tune the A/F even then. So, bottom line is the fact that the nozzles can go anywhere, before or after the MAF. However, the recent advent of the Sudden Impact Dry plate has made the nozzle system obsolete on the LSx/LTx platforms, in most cases.
The Interface also works and was engineered to fuel the next generation of Dry Direct Port systems. It works great for fine tuning the Wet Direct Port kits too. Think about not changing out all of the jets to fine tune and dial in the exact A/F ratio. Once the tuners and hobbyists realize what this great tuning tool can do, well they will be pleasantly surprised to see the entire A/F curve being controlled. The hobbyist is going to love the fact that a full tuner program and laptop are not needed; though we do recommend that all parameters be checked with some logging. Any nitrous system should be checked for ultimate safety.
One capability that many do not know about is the fact that the Interface is Progressive Compatible, with all progressive units. Yes, indeed the Interface will in fact "Pulse" the injectors. No other controller on the market has this great feature. I am not a big fan of progressing wet hits, for many reasons. However, progressing a dry shot is a match made in heaven, with no downfalls, just benefits. All benefits of progressing are now at hand, with none of the downfalls associated with wet progressing.
Now we can move on to the Interface's next feature-Timing Pull. Yes we can also retard timing automatically that will not effect the N/A timing. So we can now run full timing N/A for max HP and TQ, and then pull timing safely and easily when the nitrous is activated. Many timing controllers on the market do pull timing, however, you cannot see this and verify with a scan tool. Not so with the Interface, it will show timing being pulled with any scan tool. No more worrying is it really pulling timing.
The Interface allows true two in one tunes. No more loading your nitrous tune into the computer, and/or no more nitrous tunes that have compromised the N/A tune. Of all tuning options out there for nitrous, the Interface tune is bar far the easiest and the most simple to apply. The engineers made sure that this product was user friendly so that any street/strip racer could set-up up their N2O tune. Its advanced feature set makes it a top choice for pro tuners as well. The Interface can easily be added into any pre-existing N2O system and includes the pre-made wire harness (below) for a simplified and basically Plug & Play install.
How the Interface Works:
The Interface makes Air to Fuel adjustments using your Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. Simply program The Interface as to what size shot you are running (adjustable from 5 HP to 315 HP in 5 HP increments). Full control over the A/F curve is now possible, allowing fuel to be added or subtracted. Timing control is done with the vehicles IAT Sensor, See box below for more information. The Interface has a built in Diagnostics Mode & Safety Features. If the Interface detects anything wrong with the MAF Sensor it will not allow the nitrous system to become operational and trigger a Service Engine Soon (SES) light until the issue is resolved.
