The "Air to Fuel Controller", an Egineered-Innovational First.
All LT1, LT4, LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7 and more...

Some of the Examples and High Points of the Interface
We can now adjust our a/f ratio, actually fine-tune the air to fuel mixture with out worrying where the nozzle(s) need to go. We can mount the nozzle(s) after the MAF if we like, and that is the premise of the "Sudden Impact" dry plate kit; it mounts after the MAF. Also, if we have current less than good location of the nozzle(s) we can fine-tune the A/F even then. So, bottom line is the fact that the nozzles can go anywhere, before or after the MAF. However, the recent advent of the Sudden Impact Dry plate has made the nozzle system obsolete on the LSx/LTx platforms, in most cases. The Interface also works and was engineered to fuel the next generation of Dry Direct Port systems. It works great for fine tuning the Wet Direct Port kits too. Think about not changing out all of the jets to fine tune and dial in the exact A/F ratio. Once the tuners and hobbyists realize what this great tuning tool can do, well they will be pleasantly surprised to see the entire A/F curve being controlled. The hobbyist is going to love the fact that a full tuner program and laptop are not needed; though we do recommend that all parameters be checked with some logging. Any nitrous system should be checked for ultimate safety.
One capability that many do not know about is the fact that the Interface is Progressive Compatible, with all progressive units. Yes, indeed the Interface will in fact "Pulse" the injectors. No other controller on the market has this great feature. I am not a big fan of progressing wet hits, for many reasons. However, progressing a dry shot is a match made in heaven, with no downfalls, just benefits. All benefits of progressing are now at hand, with none of the downfalls asociated with wet progressing.
Now we can move on to the Interface's next feature-Timing Pull. Yes we can also retard timing automatically that will not effect the N/A timing. So we can now run full timing N/A for max HP and TQ, and then pull timing safely and easily when the nitrous is activated. Many timing controllers on the market do pull timing, however, you cannot see this and verify with a scan tool. Not so with the Interface, it will show timing being pulled with any scan tool. No more worrying is it really pulling timing.
The Interface allows true two in one tunes. No more loading your nitrous tune into the computer, and/or no more nitrous tunes that have compromised the N/A tune. Of all tuning options out there for nitrous, the Interface tune is bar far the easiest and the most simple to apply. The engineers made sure that this product was user friendly so that any street/strip racer could set-up up their N2O tune. Its advanced feature set makes it a top choice for pro tuners as well. The Interface can easily be added into any pre-existing N2O system and includes the pre-made wire harness (below) for a simplified and basically Plug & Play install.

How the Interface Works:
The Interface makes Air to Fuel adjustments using your Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. Simply program The Interface as to what size shot you are running (adjustable from 5 HP to 315 HP in 5 HP increments). Full control over the A/F curve is now possible, allowing fuel to be added or subtracted. Timing control is done with the vehicles IAT Sensor, See box below for more information. The Interface has a built in Diagnostics Mode & Safety Features. If the Interface detects anything wrong with the MAF Sensor it will not allow the nitrous system to become operational and trigger a Service Engine Soon (SES) light until the issue is resolved.

This is another feature packed innovative product. Comparable products run in the range of $500 and/or more, and that is a true statement. Check the feature set out; then find another comparable Window Switch controller like this, in this price range.
The MicroEdge controller packs a powerful punch in the features department without draining the bank. With features such as: Dual Stage Control, A/F Shut Down Switch, and multi-gear lockout, the MicroEdge is a technology leader in the nitrous industry. But those aren’t even all of the features that are included! The MicroEdge was also designed to work on any rpm signal, from individual coils/coil on plug to crank position sensors. RPM signal can also be obtained by using the fuel injector or tachometer output signal.

Some of the Features of The MicroEDGE
RPM Window Switch – Only operates the nitrous system within a set “window” of RPM.
TPS Activation Switch – Only operates the nitrous system at (WOT) wide open throttle.
Dual Stage Control – Allows for the use of multiple nitrous kits to be run off of one (1) window switch. IE; multiple stages which can be used with different RPM & TPS values.
A/F Shut Down Switch – Nitrous system(s) will shut down if a lean condition is detected by either a wideband O2 sensor or narrowband O2 sensor. The MicroEdge will also shut down the system if an overly rich A/F is detected (wideband sensor only).
Lean Out Delay - The MicroEdge controller can be programmed to not shut down the nitrous system for a determined amount of time if a lean condition is detected. Great feature for those small lean spikes upon kit activation. This feature can be adjusted up to 10 seconds in .05 second intervals.
Multi-Gear Lock-Out – Can be configured for both stages and can lock-out multiple gears to optimize traction.
Time Delays – Activation of kits can be delayed for up to 10 seconds in .05 second intervals.
Pedal Delay – Delay(s) used to re-gain traction if the system is activated and the gas pedal is let off due to wheel spin and then re-applied. This allows for momentum to be built prior to re-activating the nitrous system(s). Both stages have their own pedal delay, which is adjustable up to 10 seconds in .05 second intervals.
Nitrous Solenoid Delay – Delays the nitrous solenoid from being activated for an amount of time after the kit is activated. This helps to cure any lean spike issues that are pre-existing in the system.
Display – Built in LCD display can show RPM, A/F Ratio (mV for narrowband), TPS voltage, Battery Voltage, and Arming Switch Voltage.
File System – Up to three (3) files can be saved within the MicroEdge unit for quick and easy flipping between runs.

Advanced users and/or advanced systems can appreciate these additional features. In house HSW engineer Nick came up with this sub-set. We are still finding and thinking of things that this remarkable controller can do.
Tips & Tricks
What if I, the user, want to reset all of my settings back to factory spec?
A: Its simple. Instead of having to fumble around with each and every setting the MicroEDGE can do it in seconds. To reset all the settings back to the factory defaults push the MENU & UP ARROW button while powering the MicroEDGE up.
What if I want both stages to activate in a certain gear but I have traction issues?
A: If using both stages and traction is sometimes an issue try setting the TPS triggers to different voltages. Set the first stage voltage a little lower then normal, with the second stage TPS voltage where you would normally set it to. What you can do is if traction becomes an issue with the second stage, you can ease a little off the pedal and deactivate the second stage, while allowing the first stage to still remain active until you think the second stage can be brought back in, which you can activate it again by giving it a little more pedal.
The above scenario is fantastic but I don't want to have to keep resetting different TPS values for each saved file. Is there anything that the MicroEDGE can do for me?
A: Another advantage with the MicroEDGE has over the other window switches out there is that there are 3 separate saved file settings. Within these 3 files you can save different TPS values, or any other value for that matter and they are all just a button push away!
Well I have decided that I like my current file and I need the same TPS value, or any value for that matter for all 3 of my files.
A: Not a problem! You can copy files with the MicroEDGE controller and change only the values you need to change! The File Copy System can be used to make small changes between files. If there are only a few changes that need to be made copy over the finished file from one to the other, select the newly copied file and make the changes to that.
I was on my way home from the track last night and a fast car blew my doors off because I couldn't see the MicroEDGE to make a file change.
A: All of your settings are saved inside the three files. For a quick visual reference you can set the backlight at different intensities for the different files. An example would be file 1 could have the backlight off; File 2 could have it set to high and so on. This way you can keep the doors on the car and flip between the setting easily.
I didn't know, but my wideband sensor took a dump on me, is there anything that the MicroEDGE can do for me?
A: When using the MicroEDGE with a Wideband O2 Sensor system there is both a Lean turn off set point (Max AFR) and a Rich turn off set point (Min AFR). The Rich turn off point servers two purposes, the first being that the N2O system will deactivate if the A/F Ratio goes too rich, like if your nitrous bottle was empty. The second purpose is to catch a sensor failure. When a wideband O2 sensor starts to fail it will display an overly rich condition that is not present. The MicroEDGE will pick that up and disable the nitrous system until the sensor is replaced. This way the MicroEDGE will only activate the nitrous system if it is seeing a good signal from the wideband O2 system.
I just finished installing my system. I am nervous to try testing it on the open road. Is there anything that the MicroEDGE can do for me?
A: After installing the MicroEDGE you can test the wiring of the nitrous system by setting the RPM to 0, turning off the Lean-out Delay to disable the A/F Shut Down and arm the N2O kit. Close the Nitrous bottle and make sure there is no nitrous left in any of the hoses. You will only want to do the next step for a second as there will be nothing cooling the coils of the solenoid(s). With the vehicle in accessory mode push down the gas pedal and the solenoid(s) should activate. If the TPS needed to be bypassed it could be set to 0 and the system would then activate as soon as it was armed. Or if you don't feel comfortable running the solenoids as you're doing this, simply replace them with a test light.
Hopefully you guys can take a few of these tips and tricks and implement them into your system. The instructions will also cover a few additional areas such as correcting any lean spikes etc.
The Timing Tuner is a device that is installed on LS1 and derivative engine equipped vehicles for adjusting the spark advance 'timing' to extract improved engine performance. The unit installs 'in-line' with the crankshaft sensor wiring and alters the signal that is received by the PCM (Powertrain Control Module, 'engine computer'). By shifting the crankshaft signal ahead or behind in time the spark timing in the engine is changed. The Timing Tuner is used to adjust the Spark Advance to improve engine response and power. Assuming sufficient octane fuel is used, most production engines will make more power with a few more degrees of spark advance. However when Nitrous Oxide or superchargers/turbochargers are used to raise horsepower the spark advance must be reduced (retarded) to prevent detonation. Detonation (pinging, spark knocking) is very destructive and is to be avoided. Always run high enough octane fuel for the power levels desired. Price: $250.00
The Timing Tuner also has a Nitrous Oxide (N2O) control feature. The unit features activation delay, timing retard, and activation controls based on RPM (programmable window switch). The setup can be optimized for non-N2O driving and when the trigger wire is energized the secondary settings are activated. This ensures the optimum setting is always available both with and without N2O.

NGK TR6 Spark Plugs, One heat range colder than stock for LSX, LT1, Mod 4.6 and 5.4 engines. Stock heat range for supercharged Mod 4.6 & 5.4 engines. Comes gapped at .035 (Works well in Nitrous, Supercharger, or High-compression motors)
Ignitability of V-Power Spark Plugs
"NGK's unique V-Power design directs the spark to the edge of the electrode where it can develop more rapidly. This allows easier and more complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture. The increased ignitability allows the engine to burn air/fuel ratios that would otherwise be too lean."
V-Groove Explanation Quenching Effect
"The amount of spark which is absorbed by the center and ground electrode is referred to as the quenching effect. The V-Power plug is designed to draw spark to the edge of the electrode. Thus, the quenching effect is minimized, resulting in more effective, complete combustion."

Your tuner software’s best friend!
This gauge is designed to allow “on the fly” adjustments to your ignition timing, when used in conjunction with your favorite “tuner” software/hardware combination. By installing this gauge in the cockpit, you can instantly set additional or subtractional WOT timing using a 16 position selector switch built on to the gauge. Additional ignition timing increases torque and horsepower over and above the preset timing within the vehicle’s ECU programming. And, subtracting timing allows use of lower octane fuel (for road trips and traveling) which will minimize or eliminate detonation as a result of lower octane.
The Timing Commander™ does the task by interfacing with your air temperature sensor wiring. Essentially “fooling” the ECU into thinking the air temperature is cooler or hotter, the gauge sets a relative “temperature” into the ECU. Using your tuner software, you then modify the IAT SPARK ADVANCE CORRECTION table in your ECU. By modifying this table, you essentially force the ECU timing MAF or MAP scalers vs. temperature values to a particular value and use the Timing Commander™ selector switch to set these values.
The 3 digit LED display on the gauge has preset display ranges based upon the switch position. The preset ranges are jumper-selectable and can be displayed in one of four choices:
1) Actual timing, -8 to +7 degrees
2) Degrees Celsius (-40 to +80)
3) Degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to +176)
4) Numeric (001 to 016)
The four different modes allow the driver a selection of preferences. For example, you might choose “actual timing” and set your table values to equal the range choices, or “numeric” to give you a low to high numeric value that corresponds to the amount of timing you choose to set in the ECU table. The display is always relative to the position of the selector switch. The actual timing modifications to the ECU can be set to whatever your requirements need to be. By making incremental changes to the table, you can easily access those changes with the selector switch, and the display provides a digital readout relative to the switch setting.
Installation involves a very simple four-wire hookup. The gauge is a 2-1/16” (52mm) standard package which can be placed anywhere convenient to the driver’s seat. Most applications use a standard IAT sensor with a gray connector, and the kit provides a direct plug-in for that sensor wiring, which leaves only two wires to hook up to your vehicle; switched 12 volts and a ground. The package includes a gauge with red diffuser lens and black bezel, 18 in. ribbon connection cable, controller module, IAT wiring harness and power connector pigtail. The Timing Commander™ comes with comprehensive installation instructions that give examples for timing table modifications. You must use a tuner software package to access and modify this particular table.
Full instructions included.

This is the base Launcher kit, with minimum add-ons, the starter kit for getting into the Launcher technology. The features section includes a lot of info and insight.
Any racer will tell you it''s easy to make horsepower…getting it to ground is the hard part. Since making runs on the knife–edge of traction is essential to get the win light, serious nitrous racers utilize methods to soften the "hit" when they squeeze the juice. If it''s too violent, the run goes up in tire smoke; too soft and E.T. is left on the table. Until now, taming a nitrous system involved a dizzying array of dials, switches and relays. Those days are gone
Nitrous Oxide Systems is proud to present the Launcher. It combines all the functions a nitrous racer could ever want into a single, easy–to–use controller. This handy device can be programmed to independently control up to 4 stages of nitrous from a laptop computer or via an available full color 3.5” LCD touch–screen. Easy to use graphical software makes the Launcher a breeze to program. The launcher is available in 3 basic configurations. It is available as the launcher controller only; the Launcher controller with 3.5” color LCD touch–screen (Includes stylus and mini SD card for data–logging); or the Launcher controller with the handheld tuner for data–logging and quick changes in the staging lanes.
