Here we will talk about why/when/where a particular accessory may be needed. I will add information as I get time.
The specials below are limited time Offers. Try finding a new 15lb nitrous bottle for the price offered, the NOS 15lb'er as an example, is listed as $248.34 running the high flow valve which is equivalent to the NANO standard valve, and a TNT 15lb'er and valve was over $300.00. NANO Brand 15lb and Valve is $161.98. A pretty good deal in my mind. Talk to me, I can do even better under the right conditions, for instance, select forum members get instant company rebates which can be applied many ways.
This is the valve supplied in our Competition Kits and is a modified version. Full details coming. Can be added to any existing bottles for the ultimate Street/Strip or Full race set-ups. It's the Bad-Boy.
An orifice that out flows the standard industrial valve, used by most competitors, by 249%. Supports well over 500hp for more power and consistency. The Super Hi-Flo valve features specially designed passages to maximize flow rate and velocity. stock has twin gauge ports, however, NANO modified valves have three gauge ports for unlimited NANO bottle locating and mounting. Put your gauge on top, or put it on the side, then use a remaining port for your NANO plumbing/line.
Uses the NOS exclusive NOS safety venting system with -8AN fitting for professional in-car tube. You can hard line or run a braided line from the get go. the competitors use the industrial pop off, which needs replacing should you need to route the vent line to outside the passenger compartment.
So you can see, there is much more to the bottle valve than meets the eye. just look at the beautiful chrome 45 degree body, there is not a better street/strip valve on the market. compare the installed pictorial section for different bottle valves and how they look, along with there performance potential. It's the only valve I will run.

·Here we are going to start a list of all "N2O Bottle Valve" HP limits, and if NANO regulator compatible. This list is for current, as of 2009, bottle valves. If your bottle valve has at least one gauge port (not the blow off vent, it can usually be adapted. The Medical Grade and some Industrial Grade valves do not have a single gauge port and thus are not usable with NANO Technology.
If you need a bottle valve, I suggest the NOS Super Hi-Flo, or one of NX's new 45 degree valves with two gauge ports, as the best choices. Two ports like the NOS and NX allow for more mounting options and less hassle to still run a gauge at the bottle. They also both flow big nitrous numbers.
Caution: Some NX 45 degree valves have the gauge port plumbed in to the pick up tube, not for NANO use (see the installed NANO pictorial section for explanation with pictures). NANO needs an open port to the top of the nitrous. If in doubt which valve you have call the company that made it to be sure. This is only a guide and not the absolute Gospel. It is your responsibility to get the right port when using other than NANO supplied valves.

I do the same basic install with HSW standard bottle valves, below. What we do for the Vettes, considering you can see in the back glass, is to face the "T" up, and install the mechanical N2O pressure gauge there. This allows checking bottle PSI from outside the car and with-out turning the key on. You can see how this is done in the C5/C6 Nitrous Install page.
Here is the one i did in the C5/C6 Bottle Install How-To. Because there was no need for a transduce we used a simple SS (polished) N2O gauge adapter. This allowed facing the gauge straight up so we can view it from the Corvette back glass. Why certain companies use these bottle valves, that put the gauge in the side as the only option, is beyound me. some cars need it facing up to be useful. I couldn't tell you how many Corvettes I have seen with the gauge to the side, where no one can see it, ever. There is a little bit more involved in getting the gauge adapter to work, so here is the link to that plumbing issue, below.
HSW Bottle Valve Gauge Plumbing

NOS Super Hi-Flo & Standard Hi-Flo Valves

This is the NOS Super Hi-Flow. You can see one of the two gauge ports with the other one being on top below the handle. NANO installs the one-way check-valve into the normal top gauge port and moves gauge to the side port. Some cars we want the gauge left in it's native spot so we can see it better, your choice. NANO also adds a port on the opposite end of the valve, from the gauge-port you can see in this picture. I use this port pictured for the NANO supply, but sometimes the other option may allow better placement of your NANO bottle. This valve is my choice over all others. More tech on this valve above in the NANO/NOS Super Hi-Flo to buy box.

This is the standard NOS Hi-Flo valve which comes in most NOS kits. There are variations of this valve from year to year. The latest and best can be identified by the 45 degree handwheel. The older models had the handwheel at 90 degrees. The 1st and 2nd generations have side gauge ports to be used for the NANO check-valve.
Here you can see the Super High Flow valves. The port that has the 90 degree fitting and heater transducer is the port I used for my dual 15lb NANO kits. I will find the pictures of the NANO installed on these bottles and this set-up.
This is the leader in volume that can be flowed. It can flow more than twice that of a NOS Super Hi-Flo valve. It has a 1/2" orifice to flow those monster hits. also has a 5/8" pick up tube available. these specs along with dual 1/8" gauge ports allows for unlimitied NANO use. The lbs/sec issue will not be a problem here for NANO to keep up with the biggest of the big shots. We could piggy back two 4500psi kits for HP levels above anything the average guy could run. I call this valve the "Big Daddy".
• Highest flow rate of any valve on the market
• Quick, 1/4 turn for full on or off position
• Over twice the flow of super hi flow valves
• Fits 5-20 pound bottles and carbon fiber bottles
• Spring loaded safety pin (prevents accidental opening)
• Accepts extra large 5/8 threaded siphon tube
• Two 1/8 NPT gauge ports
• Racer safety blow off
• Large -8 outlet
• 6 adapters included
DynoTune Standard "High Flow" Valve

Here is the Dynotune High Flow valve which is their standard and only optioned bottle valve. We can see the "T" installed in to the gauge port; and one port is to the n2o bottle, one port is to the remote electric gauge (transducer) and the last port on the "T" is used for the NANO supply.
Nitrous Works Standard "Hi-Flow" Bottle Valve

This is a Barry Grant product and as you can see contains a side gauge port which can be used for your NANO check-valve. This is the standard valve they use.
ZEX Standard "High-Flow" Bottle Valve
Some of the Zex bottles are NANO compatible, and some are not. Here we can see the NANO check-valve plumbed into the gauge port, and deleting a gauge and/or a transducer. Some, like myself, run the N2O transducer in the engine bay, but I also have a mechanical gauge at the bottle. The set-up below must have bottle valve open to know what PSI is being run, if they even have a gauge elsewhere, not ideal IMO, but doable.

This is all of the information I could find on there site, and do not have any notes on this product in my stash. However, we will see if we can garner some more info. I am sure the valve is fine. They mostly deal with the NOS products.
They claim the Pro-Flow out performs the others by 360lb/hr and results in 20hp improvements. it is a modified version of the industry standard. they flair the tube pick-up to keep phase change at bay and a resulting higher flow. has one gauge port for NANO.
Because some of my existing pages are closed, some permanently, some not, I didn't have a good spot for this information. the redundant solenoid trick is the single best method to protect an engine form the dreaded lean back fire. By overwhelming odds, the stuck-open, or partially open nitrous solenoid is by far the leader in nitrous back fires. On the LSx platform, and some others, due to the weak plastic intakes we often see the fuel rails get dislodged and spray fuel all over. Why the fuel? Our system run at 58psi and it takes an amount of time for the pressure to bleed off and when the rails become dislodged we have gasoline spraying over the entire engine bay adding the the growing fire. this has led to burning to the ground. so many guys get scared from the initial explosion, they jump out of the car and run, or at least distance themselves, however, they also forget to turn the key off and the fuel pump remains turning suppling the fire with fuel. One of the reasons the fire guys can't get the fire under control. So, don't forget to turn the key off should you have a backfire.
Redundant N2O solenoids can in fact stop the stuck open solenoid issue, period. One lame azz vendor argues against this for years, a very ignorant guy, but he mostly does it only because it is I whom is touting the redundant, lol. If it was his suppliers, hw would be kissing their arzes, LOL. Yep, some guys listen to this lame person, and well, result in burning their cars down. The last dry he tried to set up had the exact problem, at 1st they tried to blame the HSW Interface, lol, but now they claim a sticking open nitrous solenoid led to a backfire upon trying to start the car. He still wants to argue against running redundant, what an a-hole, even when pointing out his short comings on the C5 fire that resulted in the guy getting his car burned to the ground. I point this out every time he states, in one of our threads, "You don't need redundant if you run good parts". Well what a contradiction, his parts aren't good, LOL? He sounds like a horse's back-side every time he tries arguing this issue, and the readers see this too, and confirm every time-via PM. Redundant has saved my azz numerous times as well as countless thousands elsewhere.
I will be adding much more info and a link on info soon, concerning the safety benefit of running the redundant nitrous solenoid on Dry kits, like NOS has done for years.
Anyway, NOS offers an add on kit for progressive controlled wet kits and adds a 2nd nitrous solenoid for safety. progressing can be very hard on solenoids and we don't want a seat failure or a sticking open solenoid. Both scenarios could spell big time damage Here is what NOS has to say concerning the progressed kits.
[Quote NOS] Note: if using a progressive controller with a single stage kit, use an NOS safety application kit. It implements a second nitrous solenoid that helps stabilize & prolong the life of the system. [Quote]
