Nitrous Pictures/Installs

This section will be for pictures of various N2O installs from the RNS shop car and others. In no way, shape or fashion am I trying to imply that these are all my installs or products. This is just a section to help with ideas or insight, plain and simple, just like I have been doing for years. Please enjoy and if you have an install of your car, send it to me for publishing consideration. I can't host every single one as space costs money, but we will still do what we can.

Plate Kit Engine Bay Shots

This section will carry misc. Sudden Impact and Brute Force plate kit engine bay pictures

Here's my latest, it's the 2nd and 3rd stages of my dry triple stage set-up.

Here is NitrousForum member Ruckus99ss' F-Body and Wet plate kit using the custom solenoid mounts we offer.

Mike from HSW and his Multi stage with a dry plate. More on this one later.

KCJeff and his "Sudden Impact" Dry Plate kit. More coming on this set-up also.

ratt g from Corvetteforum and his '08 C6 Z06 and a very clean plate install.

Here's a Wet plate kit with the TB style mount found in the Brute Force kit and the Dual Stage Dry kit. Some like this set-up with the all black hoses and fittings.

Bottle Mounts

There are more bottle install pictures in the NANO section. Below the sales area is a nice collection of NANO/N2O bottle installs.

Here is a killer set-up done by CEO 44, dual 15lb'ers with NANO. I love the flame job and hope to one day have mine this nice.

This install belongs to algZ06 from the Corvetteforum. It's the first side mount that I have saw. It is a good option for those that have especially a Coupe and can use the center space to carry golf clubs. Even though the NANO is installed using band clamps, it could be installed directly on to the Billet Bottle bracket (we carry this brkt) for a slightly cleaner look, just my opinion though.

I am not sure where this picture came from as someone sent it to me from a thread on dual mounts. It is an option for gaining room for storage. However, for a cleaner tighter look, we would have tucked the braided hose under the carpet. Notice the quick disconnet bottle brackets from NOS (we do carry these).

02blackbeauty19 and his Jake bottle. Soon to have a NANO nitrogen assist system directly from RNS. Chris has his new NANO/N2O pictures in the NANO section.

Unkown member, front seat mount with NANO, a C5 (if you know who let me know). Bad azz serious set-up. Notice the N2O activation button on the steering wheel, same as my 3rd stage activation.

Bubbaduss from the GTO forum and his very tricked out GTO trunk mount.

Here is a  group of 3 very clean hidden set-up pics, done by Corvetteforum member Mr. Jones, and is an'03 C5. It shows how a 10lb bottle can be mounted sideways in the spare compartment, with the cover fitting nicely. Remember to keep the valve end as high as you can for proper feed. Most stock style brackets will work fine, and looks as though there is roon for NANO, at least the smaller 4500 series bottles.

Another hidden set-up from Tim Pipkin at the Corvetteforum. Once the lid is down you would never know there is a nitrous bottle inside.

Ruckus99ss and his F-Body bottle mount. The stock cover hides all.

Robert56, from the trunk showing the15lb bottles "Y" fitting, 6an hose to the front. Using a "Y" block is much less restrictive compared with using a "T" fitting. Soon to have dual NANO 15lb Nitrogen Assist systems; and are becoming a must have product for the serious nitrous guys.

Just your average dual 50lb bottle mount set-up. No NANO for these bad boyz, lol.

Robert56, from driver's outside, dual 15lb'ers is a cheap alternative to a push system or nitrogen assit system, though NANO is on it's way. No longer do we run transducers due to not being able to get pressure where i want when I want it. Manually ,we can easily replace the lost 50/75psi after the 1/4 run by flipping a switch, to on postion, during the trip back on the return road. This works much better, as the transducers window to come on is about 50-100psi drop, depending on whos transducer your using. That is not close enough for consistant passes.

Nitrous Bob's trunk mount C5

Chris Stewart's 15'lber mounted sideways in his Z06. Here is a How-To sideways mount your bottle link: Properly Mounting an N2O Bottle Sideways

Here is a very popular rear seat mount in an F-Body, by JetLag from the NitrousForum.com. Many make their own custom mounts for the bottle/brackets. He also has added the 3000 series (larger) NANO bottle onto his 10lb N2O bottle via the supplied NANO mounts under the N2o clamps. Very good clean install.

Joecar's single 10lb'er from driver's side door. Notice the pressure transducer mounted on a gauge adapter fitting.

Robert56 purging (only purge picture I own, lol). Someday we will have one of those big, "look at me", purge shows, lol. The purge is coming out of a machined block of aluminum and has been named the "Bull Nostrils". By just drilling out the holes to a larger diameter, we can easily increase the size of the plume. Also, champhering of the holes will allow the pattern to spread out more for a bigger more robust purge.

BillyGoatGruff's GTO dual set-up and NANO, nitrogen assit system.

Robert56, dual NHRA legal blow offs to bulk head "T" in trunk well (drilled out small drain hole).

Robert56, single 15lb'er in '97 Coupe. Where's the blow down tube to outside the passanger compartment? If the trunk was sealed off from the drivers compartment, this would be legal. An electric industrial grade noid opener, polished SS. You can actually through bolt your bottle mounts in this location as long as you plan it out (look underneath before drilling).

TXZ06's dual 10lb'ers from passenger area.

C5 Coupe unique diamond plate mount in trunk well is by VettJunky Only diamond plate set-up I have seen in a C5. Nice looking though.

Robert56, single 15lb'er as orginal set-up in the Z06 and a NOS noid style bottle opener, which is the best electric noid opener. Aluminum blow down tube does have an added on braided line running to the spare tire well drain hole.

Robert56, what the Mustangs see looking in the back glass, lol. Believe it or not, I onced owned a Stang. This is where i got the name of my last two Vettes, "Nitrous Under Glass" and "Nitrous Under Glass II".

Mike @ HSW Dual Set-up and the custom bottle brackets sold in accessories section. This looks real nice in all black.

Bonds C6 dual Carbon 10lb'ers and dual NANO (nitrogen assist), Dallas Performance Install. More pictures in the NANO section.

Mr. Big and Dallas Performance in another C6, with electromechanical bottle valve opener. If we install our bottles a little closer to the drivers compartment, this will allow for the option of manually opening the valve

860 (Vinny) and his GTO dual bottle set-up, and Slowgoats GTO dual set-up. These installs allow the hatch cover to be installed for the hidden look.

Nitrous solenoid Mounts

This section will be for the different solenoid locations and mounting options. In the plate kit install section we can see how some have chose to put their solenoids under the coil covers for a clean uncluttered look. Myself, I love to have my handy work on display. This style here is simple polished SS angle, and takes a couple spacers and bolts and your done.

These two are of my early head mount style on my '97 coupe. This was done when vendors were claiming the head was to hot. I did temp readings and tried rubber stand off mounts to isolate heat transfer. What I found was that the engine bay will get to about the same temp throughout. So now many of the same who claimed you would burn up your solenoids, copied it and sale a version, no worry.

Here we have our single stage wet kit mounts for the LS2. It mounts directly on to the throttle body and is one of the trickest mounts out there. this is also the mount used on the Dual Stage dry LS2 applications. With additional fittings we can run the large solenoids wet and/or dry, this takes additional 90° fittings on the end of the 3-port nitrous solenoids so the feed line will fit in between the plate and mount. this can be seen in the dual stage dry picture using this mount. These are the small solenoids which are limited to about a 175rwhp shot. Go big or stay home, lol.

These are our single stage wet mounts found in the Brute Force kits. WE can also use these in other applications as needed. Note the custom spec'ed lines.

Here's a wild set-up from the nitrous masters at HSW, a Viper and triple stage.

Here is NVR SPDS' HSW solenoid mount. Notice also that the solenoids have been painted, always an option for making ones install unique. Also the use of black fittings has become very popular and we do offer this option.

This is also a head mount ('02 Z06) and made of polished SS angle stock and using 3/4" stand offs. It's a quad noid dual stage. Redundant noids ensure that the nitrous will shut down in case of failure noid failure. This was a problem with small noids and old style of seat material. Stay with the new big powerfull solenoids and problems for the most part will cease. The other reason for redundant solenoids is debri getting in the noid and causing a sticking open solenoid, so then you have back up, pure safety and not for wet hits. Now with that said, using a good nitrous filter will eliminate this issue. That's why all of the kits I sell have a very large billet aluminum filter. Sure, company X will sell you a kit with out any filter and require you to buy one as an extra. Well the last time company X did this, they had a lean backfire and burned the car down from debri and a sticking open solenoid.

This is how QSMgoat did his solenoids. actually this is quite popular with the Vettes, using the radiator cowl in various ways to mount ones solenoids.

This clean C6 set-up belongs to SPRAYED LS3 and was crafted by the capable hands at Cartek. Great minds think a like, lol. I did virtually the same thing, though my solenoids are on the opposite side. Very nice look IMO.

Here is my latest set-up. These are the solenoids for the 2nd and 3rd stage dry hits that go to the HSW plate. Actually the mount I used is a production wet solenoid mount offered for the small noid wet single stage kits, and large noid kits up on request (need additional fittings). It will be the mount I use in all of my dry dual stage package kits. No mods required except when using the NX solenoids as they mount a little different compared to all others, so some triming required.

Here's a unique way to mount your solenoids, and pretty simple to build. Of course our MAF needs to be inb the correct location to work (Vettes). I don't remember whom I got the picture from, so credit will have to wait.

These are NX Stage 6 solenoids and much more robust than the small NOS solenoids used above. The second picture shows the new style mount, though still off the head and polished SS. If using hard 90 degree fittings like here, go up one size to help minimize flow loss due to added restrictions. We only have to worry if we have numerous 90's and/or other restrictions added in-line.

The next pictures show the unique location of my direct port dry noids. They are mounted right off of the fuel rails and plumbed directly into the nitrous distribution "Y" block. this just shows that mounting of your noids is really up to your imagination.

Here is my original 3rd stage, now converted to dry. Notice how the fuel solenoid is mounted directly on the fuel rail test port. This was done to help speed the fuel flow time to match that of the nitrous, 1050psi vs 60psi. Travel time of the fuel is often the cause of wet kit lean spikes as the N2O gets there first then the fuel catches up. run you fuel line as short as possible. The nozzle was tapped right into the aluminum of the TB through the SS clamp. I didn't want the mix flowing over the ribbed CAI coupler and cause fuel drop out.

Electronics Mounts

This will for various mounts of controllers, wide bands, gauges, switch panels and so on.

Here's a couple ideas for hanging your LM1 Wide Band. (coming, lol)

Here's where I have chose to mount my relays. this area allows easy access for future ugrading and/or changing things around. Things have changed from this photo. No longer is there dual relays for my bottle heaters (NANO). Also, one window switch is now gone and the remaining is used for my 3rd stage. The controller for the 1st and 2nd now reside in my passenger compartment.

Beer has chose the same area for a nice clean neat install. This spot would be the area where my 4-relays are lined up. very nice for future access.

Controller under and aft of the passenger seat. i forgot to note who's install this was. but, i figured this was a great place to have the wiring stuff. an area that is seldome used for anything.

A nice glove box install. actually if we don't mind giving this area up it is really a nice location as long as you don't have to much to mount.

Switch Panels

Here we will host the available switch panels I offer, along with custom one off panels for insight and ideas.

This will be like the blank templates we will have on the site for you to choose what you may want as switches IE: naming, layout, quanity and style of SW.

Here is an example of what we will be able to do and currently the SW panel I run in the Z06.

We will also have a blank template similar to this for the C5 ash tray area (small standard plate) for those that do not want to go full size. Soon I will have it set-up where you can choose what you want for your custom panel. This is similar to the dual stage panel that will be included in the dual stage package kits.

Here was my first true custom panel, but out grew this as you can see by the 3rd stage toggle. this one had activation lights for each stage that lit when the noid was open, a very good diagnostic tool.Corvette C6 HSW installed switch panel. We carry these in stock.

A couple Mustang HSW switch panels, and we stock these as well.

Corvette-Chris and his custom one off C5 sw panel. This was an early version of the full face custom panels, like a beta version.

This was my 1st switch panel originaly made for my '97 Coupe. It actually looked better with out the labels, lol. Beer say's that this was the panel that got him started, lol, he tried making me some Corvette script labels. They did help in the looks department and soon he would have full on custom panels to offer.

An example of what can be done and belongs to TRMIN8R. A good example for those whom like to build their own panels. I like doing it myself and have numerous examples, lol.

Installed GTO switch panel, a stock item.

Here is a unique custom one off panel. Owner, as you can see is EVIL WS6.

Here's another custom F-Body example made by Jmill96Z.
